After clearing a few lines and planting a bunch of squash out in the field earlier this year, Paul and I were sat recovering from the heat. It was very calm, very still save for some rustling trees. I commented on the heat. Paul then goes, 'Yes, you can really hear the heat this summer'.
So I said, what?
He explained, the trees are usually quiet this time of year and you don't hear them as the wind breathes through. But they are so dry and thirsty, that the leaves are rustling. You can really hear the heat this summer.
I mean... ruddy hell that's some other level!
